Overall Rating: 5/5
Summary: This is a British Broadcasting Corporation news service documentary detailing the rise and fall of Yugoslav dictator Slobodan Milosevic who was tried for the international crime of genocide in the International Criminal Court based in the Hague. His narrow-minded type of nationalism made him wage war on his fellow member states of the Yugoslav Republic resulting in its “balkanization”. He died suddenly while still on trial so no verdict was returned or rendered in his case.
Site Name: Human Rights Watch Organization
Domain: http://www.hrw.org/backgrounder/arms/iraq0202003.htm
Overall Rating: 5/5
Summary: An excellent website by this international organization. It details all the concerns and issues that need to be addressed by modern era conflicts such as the Iraq War. Its site is arranged logically according to certain topics about the conduct of war such as using weapons of mass destruction (WMD-nuclear bombs and biological warfare) and prohibiting the use of civilian hostages as human shields in armed conflicts. But more interestingly, the U.S. invaded Iraq but is not a signatory to the genocide convention until 1988. It cannot be sued without its express consent which effectively grants it immunity in wars it has waged over the last few years.
