International Laws
As countries grow more and more complex, the need to establish international laws was unquestionable. The United Nations Organization is at the forefront of promulgating and implementing of these international laws. Leaders have learned from history that crimes committed during wars were seemingly unstoppable. Consequently, to protect and secure each country’s citizens of their rights, some group of nations organize themselves to create international laws. Member nations pledge to uphold their laws and help each other for a more peaceful co-existence.

- Private International Law (or Conflict of Laws) – deals with what particular jurisdiction of laws can be applied to a case
- Extradition law – is the delivery of the suspected or convicted person to his/her country’s jurisdiction
- Space law – this was developed since 1957 which was the first launching of satellite into space, to govern the exploration of outer space
- Labour rights – this protects the right of labourers when working outside of their own countries
Furthermore, the International Court of Justice is the United Nation’s highest judicial body.
